Abstract:: |
Stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) has been increasingly used to treat liver cancer. The Cyberknife (CK) system serves as a relatively advanced robotic radiosurgery system for delivering SRT. Using three-dimensional multi-angle irradiation, unique fiducial tracking, and synchronous respiratory tracking system, the CK system can minimize the off-target caused by respiratory movement, thereby achieving effective ablative radiotherapy characterized by high dose conformity in the gross target volume and minimal damage to surrounding normal tissue. In a real sense, the CK system achieves accurate positioning, planning, and irritation. After several rounds of discussion, the expert consensus on Cyberknife treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma has been formed as a reference for clinicians. |
