Abstract:: |
Dicentric chromosome assay (DCA), the "golden on standard" for biodosimetry, plays a critical in making rapid clinical decisions in mass casualty nuclear incidents. However, traditional manual analysis is hard-pressed to meet the biodosimetry needs in nuclear mass casualty incidents due to its high requirements for time, labor, throughput, and operation techniques. In recent years, several novel strategies have emerged to fill the gap in high-throughput, rapid, and accurate dosimetry for exposed personnel in nuclear mass casualty incidents. This study introduces the advances in research on automated dicentric chromosome assay, providing a reference for domestic peers on biodosimetry studies based on dicentric chromosomes. |
