Abstract::
      Objective To perform dosimetric audit on medical accelerator in radiotherapy institutions in Jiangsu Province.Methods One medical accelerator was selected for dose audit by randon sampling from each of the institutions to which questinaries have been distributed. Radiophoto luminescent glass dosimeters (RPLGD) were irradiated individually with absorbed doses of 2 Gy from 116 accelerators in 10 cm × 10 cm fields in the cases of 100 cm source to surface distance (SSD) and 10 cm depth in water. Non-parametric tests were used to analyze the differences in qualification rate and absolute deviation between accelerators of different origins, different brands, and institutions at different levels. Results A total of 116 accelerators from 116 institutions were involved in the audit. The deviation range was from -4.4% to 7.22%, and the qualification rate was 97.4%. The result of non-parametric tests showed that there were no significant differences to be found in qualification rate and absolute deviation between accelerators of different origins, different brands and different institutions. There was no correlation to be found between the number of operation years and the absolute deviation. Conclusions The origin, brand, number of operation years of the accelerators and the level of the radiotherapy institutions where they are located have no impact on the accuracy of dose delivered by the accelerators.
