Abstract::
      Objective To determine the response time and time resolution correct factor for the first range of both the ion chamber survey meters. Methods A formula based on the circuit theory and the definition of response time was established, and verified with experiment data. Results The response time at the first range(0-50μSv/h) of the model 451B and the model 451P ion chamber survey meter were 13.2s and 7.3 s, respectively. Conclusions The time resolution correct coefficients should be used to inspect the radiation protection level by both the ion chamber survey meters.
