Objective To evaluate the value of clinical application of 64-slice spiral CT in the diagnosis of intracranial aneurysms through the comparative study of the CT angiography (CTA), the digital subtraction angiography(DSA) and the CT digital subtraction angiography (CTDSA).Methods 26 patients suspected with intracranial aneurysms underwent both CT and DSA. CTA post-processing techniques included volume rendering(VR), maximum intensity projection (MIP) and multiplanar reconstruction(MPR). Based on the CTA data, after subtracting non-enhanced data, and removing bone and brain tissue section by section, CTDSA images could be generated while the vascular structure remained. The characteristics of three techniques(DSA,CTA and CTDSA )were compared. Results 31 aneurysms were detected by DSA and CTDSA and 29 aneurysms by CTA,with 2 aneurysms missing due to its diameter less than 3 mm.Conclusions CTDSA is a sensitive method for detecting intracranial aneurysms same as DSA. |
