Abstract:: |
Objective To study the changes of haptoglobin expression in mouse serum and hematopoietic immune tissue, in order to search for the potential diagnostic biomarker and therapeutical target of acute radiation injury.Methods RT-PCR and Western blotting were used to detect the haptoglobin mRNA and protein, respectively.Results The expression of haptoglobin mRNA in detected tissues and protein in sera were increased in dose- and time-dependent manner.Conclusions γ-rays could enhance the expression level of haptoglobin in mouse serum and hematopoietic immune tissue, and these two proteins might be the potential diagnostic biomarker or therapeutical target of acute radiation injury. |
