| Objective The non-invasive kV-Meter for checking up the tube high voltage of X ray machine is developed for the improved image quality and decreasing dose of the persons examined by X rays. Methods The high voltage of X ray machine is determined by the measurement of the ratio of signals from double detectors of semiconductors which are covered by Cu and Al filters with different thickness. Results The accuracy of measuring kV is (1%±2) kV for the range of 60~150 kV. Moreover the exposure time is measured in kV Meter with the accuracy of±20 ms. Conclusions KV-Meter can be used individually or united with diagnostic dose meter for the quality control of X ray machine. |
