Objective To investigate the damaging effect of the 125Iodine seeds implantation on non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC).Methods Under the system of TPS and CT image and flexible fibre-optic bronchoscopy (FFB) guided, 125Iodine seeds were implanted in 121 patients confirmed NSCLC. And the exposure doses of vitals of focus surroundings, for example; the heart and spinal cord were estimated. The NSCLCs were rechecked after fix period.Results The total efficacy rates of two groups were 96.6% and 90.6% respectively. The incidence rate of damaging effect were 55.1% and 12.5% respectively. The exposure doses of the heart-lung and spinal cord by CT image guided were 31.0 Gy and 7.5 Gy respectively, and they were obvious lower than the tolerated dose of normal organization. The early and late incidence rates of radioactive damaging effect by CT image guided groups were 14.6% and 1.1% respectively. But the incidence rate of radioactive damaging effect in FFB group was not observed.Conclusions The therapy of radioactive 125Iodine seeds implantation is ideal and safe. But the low-grade, easily treated and reversible noxious damaging effects are unavoidably. The therapy dose not induce severe radiation pneumonia and irreversible pulmonary fibrosis. |
