Abstract::
      Objective To investigate the safety and validity of HW-Plan V1.0 3-D Conformal Treatment Planning System(TPS). Methods Typical clinical tumor cases were used to check all its functions and verify its capability to deal with various clinical cases. Comparisons were carried out between the results finished by HW-Plan TPS and commercial TPS used in the hospital, including 3-D dose distributions. Results All the functions for 3-D conformal radiotherapy of tumor were realized by HW-Plan TPS, and all the radiotherapy plan for clinical cases were successfully finished. In the comparisons between reference TPS, differences of Monitor Unit for 97.4% of all the field of beams were within 5%; under same beam arrangement, the differences of dose at isocenter for 98.0% of all the cases were within 5%; mean distances of 90% isodose lines was <1 mm; mean differences of area in 90% isodose lines was -3.1%. Conclusions HW-Plan TPS was proved to be qualified for clinical implementation with enough safety and validity.
