| Objective To validate the calculated result consistency of three Monte Carlo codes MCNP,EGSnrc and DPM. Methods A homogeneous model, an inhomogeneous model and a clinic head case were simulated using Monte Carlo codes MCNP,EGSnrc,DPM to study and compare their model modeling, calculation result and calculation time. Results It is shown that, despite there are differences in particle transport principle, modeling parameter setting, geometry description and material cross data between them, their results still accord with each other very well. Conclusions These three Monte Carlo codes are very consistent in calculating complex 3-D clinic head case, and DPM shows much more distinct superiority than others. |
