Abstract:: |
Objective To compare the low-density signal detection between CR and DR systems. Methods Burger's phantom (Kyoto Scientific Corporation), 20 mm aluminium plate (RPM X-QA, Beijing Institute of Radiation Medicine), 0.5 mm copper plate, RTI Solidose 400 digital dosimeter, PMX-IR kV-time meter, and CPI high-frequency generator were applied to compare the low density signal detection between CR and DR systems for the same X-ray machine, absorber and exposed dose. Results The low-density signal detection capability is 6.5% less than that of the DR system. Conclusions CR system is inferior to DR system (amorphous selenium flat plate panels) in low-density signal detection. |
