Abstract::
      Objective To evaluate the effect of the Protective Spray against Rays for Medical Use on the acute mucocutaneous membrane injury induced by irradiation. Methods 70 patients who suffered from the malignant tumor of the head and neck were randomized into 2 groups after receiving radiotherapy for the first time. The treatment group was administered with the spray, while the control group was not. Results The radiation injury tolerance dose of mucocutaneous membrane in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05), while the probability of the severe mucocutaneous membrane radiation injury in the treatment group is lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions The Protective Spray against Rays for Medical Use has a protective effect on the acute mucocutaneous membrane injury induced by irradiation.
