Abstract:: |
Objective To evaluate the low dose performance of digital radiography system for the imaging of chest. Methods In this experiment, the radiography of CDRAD 2.0 contrast-detail phantom was done in order to evaluate the relations between image quality and entrance surface dose. Thirty chest radiographys were obtained by CR and DR, the ESD of DR used at 1/3 of CR's. The image definition of medial borders of the scapulae et al was evaluated by six doctors from department of radiology. Results The result indicated no statistically significant different in diagnostic quality between from the investigational system and from CR(P>0.05). Conclusion The superior resolution, low noise characteristics and high DQE of digital radiography can be utilized to decrease the radiation dose exposure to patients, without influencing the diagnostic quality. |
