Abstract::
      Objective To explore the activation of PI3K/Akt pathway and NF-κB pathway in the intestinal epithelial cell stimulated by ionizing radiation. Methods The total cell protein, plasmatic and nuclear protein of normal IEC-6 cells and cells at 15 min, 1 h, 4 h after exposed to 12 Gy 60Coγ radiation were extracted and the expression levels of phosphorylated Akt(Ser 473) and the NF-κB p65 were tested by western blot. Results The translocation of p65 occurred 20 minutes after irradiation,but the obvious phosphorylation of Akt could not be found until 1 h after irradiation. Conclusion The nuclear translocation of NF-κB in the intestinal cell exposed to ionizing radiation is earlier than the activation of PI3K/Akt pathway stimulated by the same agent.
