Abstract::
      Objective To investigate the effect of low dose radiation on the expressions of cytochrome c (Cyt c) and caspase-3 proteins in spermatogenic cells of mouse testis. Methods The relationships of dose- and time-effect of Cyt c and caspase-3 protein expressions with different dose of X-rays were observed in the spermatogenic cells of mouse testis with immunohistochemical technique (SABC). Results After irradiation with 0, 0.025, 0.05, 0.075, 0.1 and 0.2 Gy, Cyt c and caspase-3 proteins expressed differently in all kinds of spermatogenic cells, and principally in spermatogonia and spermatocytes, and less in spermatids and spermazoa. And the expressions increased with the increasing of irradiation dose. The expressions of both proteins after irradiation with 0.075 Gy increased with the lapse of time and reached to the peak at 12 h, and then descreased. Conclusion Dose-and time-effect exists on the low|dose irradiation induced expressions of Cyt c and caspase-3 proteins in spermatogenic cells of mouse testis. ;
