Abstract:: |
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of endobronchial brachytherapy to malignent airway stricture with125I implanted via cricothyroid membrane puncture and suspended in airway.Methods A total of 21 patients with central lung cancer had undergone endobronchial brathytherapy with125I implanted via cricothyroid membrane puncture and suspended in airway which guided by X-ray or fiberoptic bronchoscopy.The treating time was for three months.Results In 21 cases,CR、PR、AC、and PD were 5(24%)、10(48%)、4(19%) and 2(9%)respectively,CR+PR was 15(72%).The complications such as inflammatory granuloma in neck,laryngeal malaise,irritating cough were just the same 3 patients(14%),hypoleuko-cytosis and broken guidewire in neck were 2(9%)and 1(5%)respectively.Conclusion Endobronchial brachytherapy with125I implanted via cricothyroid membrane puncture and suspended in airway for lung cancer is quite effective and safe. |
