Abstract::
      Objective To evaluate the use of 99mT_labeled anti-D-dimer monoclonal antibody in detection of experimental old thrombus in rabbits. Methods 99mT-labeled anti-D-dimer monoclonal antibody was administelred into femoral vein and artery of the rabbits 3 days after formation of thrombi by mechanical injury of endothelium of these blood vessels. Radioactivity distribution specificity of 99mT-anti-D-dimer was shown by radionuclide imaging technique respectively at 5 min,10 min,30 min after the injection. In both intact and thrombosed animals. Results 99mT-anti-D-dimer was specifically concentrated in site of thrombus, but not concentrated in corresponding vessels of normal group rabbits, nor in the vessels having been closed by clamps of the simple clamping group. In addition, no abnormal reaction was resulted from the injection of 99mT-anti-D-dimer and no pathologic changes were found in main organs of rabbits. Conclusion The 99mT-labeled anti-D-dimer antibody will be one of potential targeting tools for localizational diagnosis of old thrombu in either artery or vein.
