Abstract:: |
Objective To observe the antitumor activity and radiosensitizing effects of phenothiazines in vitro. Methods Trifluoperazine(TFP) and phenothiazine were put in the medium of cultured U-251 cells. Clon-forming ability assay and flow cytometry assay were used. Results Growth restrain was observed in U-251 cells when administered with different doses of TFP and phenothiazine. The effect of TFP was more significant than that of phenothiazine. TFP increased the radiosensitivity of U-251 cells and 20 μmol/L of it could inhibite the G2/M arrest of U-251 cells at 6 h post 4 Gy irradiation. Conclusion TFP has the ability to suppress U-251 cell growth in vitro, and the enhance the radiosensitivity of this cell line. |
