Abstract:: |
Objective To observe the radioprotective effect of E838 , ethinyl estradiol (EE2 ), ethinyl estriol (EE3 ), estrio (E3 ) on survival rate of KM mice irradiated with 8.0 Gy γ-rays,and compare estrogen activities of E838 and EE2 . Methods Five groups of KM mice were injected intraperi-toneally with E838 ,EE2 ,EE3 ,E3 and tea oil (control group) respectively at 36 h or during 3 succesive days before irradiation. The doses were 25 μg for E838 , EE2 , 100 μg for EE3 and E3 per mouse.Female mice of 18 days old were injected with E838 and EE2 on 3,2 and 1 before irradiation. The radiation dose was 8 Gy 137Cs γ-rays with dose rate 1 Gy/min. Results The 30-day survival rate of mice injected with E838 on 3,2 and 1 before irradiation was the highest,and the averaged survival rate was 33.9% higher than that of the control group. The estrogen activity of E838 was low. Conclusion E838 is an effectively protective drug aganist radiation. |
