Abstract:: |
Objective To study HPRT gene mutation in rat peripheral blood lymphocytes induced by internal exposure to radionuclides using cloning method. Methods The radionuclides were injected into the tail vein and HPRT gene mutation was detected using cloning method to study the relationship of dose vs.response and of doserate vs.response. Results The HPRT gene mutation frequecy rose with the increase of accumulative dose and the doserate,both relationships could be described by linearquadratic models. Conclusion Cloning method is relatively sensitive to detect HPRT gene mutation induced by radiation and HPRT gene mutation may be used as a radiobiological dosimeter. |
