Abstract:: |
Objective To study the bystander effect induced by γ-irradiation through testing the activation of nature killer (NK) cells. Methods In this paper, the tested biological endpoint was the activation of NK cells against Yac-Ⅰ tumor cells, and traditional culture medium-mediate method was chosen to detect the bystander effect. Results The differences of the NK cell activation between cells of the control group and each dose group were all significant (P <0.05). The dose group that showed the strongest NK cell activation was 0.5 Gy. In the irradiation groups, no NK cell activation increase was found along with the increasing dose. Conclusion 60 Co γ-irradiation can trigger the bystander effect of Yac-Ⅰ tumor cell. Some of these data are compatible with those of the relative studies. |
