Abstract::
      Objective To study on quality audits of clinic dosimetry parameters with TLDs for photon dose on beam axis and the maxima depth doses of high energy electron beams, testing the dose variation with depth, distance, field size and 45° wedge in non-reference conditions. Methods TLDs were irradiated in 60Coγ-ray, 6 MV and 15 MV high energy X ray and 9 MeV and 16 MeV high energy electron beams, then TLD doses were evaluated. Results All the TLD results are in agreement within ±4. 9% (IAEA acceptable deviation ±5%) with the reference dose measured with cylindrical chambers except for TLD results at 20 cm depth which should be corrected for the decrease of TLD response due to partial holder attenuation of the beams. But most of the TLD results for high energy electron beams are different from the reference doses measured by plane parallel chamber with the deviation of larger than ±5%. Conclusion It is convenient and accurate to use TLD method for quality audits of clinic dosimetry parameters in radiotherapy. Two kinds of IAEA TLD holders (one for photon beam, another for electron beam) are feasible for use in TLD audits. The reasons causing deviation between the TLD results and dose results measured by plane parallel chamber should further be studied.
