Abstract::
      Objective To explore the curative effect of radiosensitization by CMNa through clinical prospective study on lung squamous carcinoma treated by radiotherapy. Methods A total of 402 patients with lung squamous carcinoma were divided into a radiosensitization group (CMNa+radiotherapy) and a control group (radiotherapy only) randomly by double blind method according to the ratio of 2∶1.Patients of the radiosensitization group was given CMNa 1200mg/m2 iv drip in 60 minutes before radiotherapy and those of the control group was given NS two times per week.The curative effects of these two groups were observed,in which the same foundational factors and treatment conditions in the course of radiotherapy were applied. Results There were significant differences in primary lesions on the rate of CR and CR+PR between these two groups.For CR of primary lesion,the radiation dose of radiosensitizition group was significantly lower than that of the control group.There were no statistical significances between these two groups on the kinds,severity and the rate of side-effect by laboratory test of blood routine,liver and kidney functions and clinical symptoms during and at the end of treatment. Conclusion The significant difference in curative effect between these two groups indicates the CR and the total effective rate can be increased and the irradiation dose can be reduced by using CMNa.No obviously side-effects are found in the digestive tract and nervous system under the recommended clinical dose.
