Objective To investigate the effects of carbogen plus low concentration oxygen radiotherapy on murine intestinal epithelium. Methods Kun Ming mice were divided into four groups:Air,HO,LO and HO+ LO.The abdomen of mice was irradiated with 6 MV X-rays at different single doses.The relationship between total cell survival per circumference and radiation dose was established,and dose-survival curves were fitted.Radioprotective factors(RPFs) were calculated. Results The RPF of groups HO,LO and HO+LO was 0.79,1.25 and 1.06,respectively. Conclusion Inhalation of low concentration oxygen can eradicate the enhanced damage by carbogen and possesses certain radioprotective effect. |
