Abstract::
      Objective To observe the changes in the expressions of CD2 and CD48 in EL-4 and J774A.1 after different doses X-irradiation by time-course and dose-effect studies. Methods Flow cytometry(FCM) was adopted to detect the changes of CD2 and CD8 expressions. Results FCM data showed CD2 expression in EL-4 cells increased beginning from 4 h and reached its peak at 8-16 h after 0.075 Gy irradiation, while 2 Gy decreased its expression from 4 h and reached its minimum at 8 h.Dose-effect results of CD2 expression revealed that 0.050 Gy and 0.075 Gy up-regulated its expression while 1-6 Gy induced reverse changes 8 h after exposure.Simultaneously, CD48 expression in J774A.1 cells showed an earlier increase(4 h) and a later decrease (16-48 h) after 0.075 Gy irradiation, whereas 2 Gy irradiation led to a sustained decrease up to 48 h.Dose-effect studies of CD48 expression showed that 0.050-0.100 Gy up-regulated the expression of CD48 while 1-6 Gy down-regulated its expression significantly. Conclusion The different changes of CD2 in EL-4 cells and CD48 in J774A.1 cells after different doses of X-irradiation indicate that LDR exhibits an opposite effect to that of HDR.
