Abstract:: |
Objective To study dose distribution in vascular tissue delivered by radioactive solution for intracoronary intra-balloon brachytherapy. Methods The dose distribution was estimated by simulation experimental and theoretical methods. Results The averaged dose obtained by two methods was 9.0 and 9.7 mGy·min-1, respectively.The difference between different methods was 7.8%. Conclusion The dose distribution with a 32P liquid-filled balloon is uniform axially in the range of the balloon, and rapidly attenuates radially. |
