Abstract::
      Objective To study the relationship between HPRT gene mutation frequencies of rat peripheral blood lymphocytes and accumulative doses,dose rates of internal exposure to radionuclides. Methods The radionuclides were injected into the rats via tail vein and the HPRT gene mutation frequencies were detected using BrdU labeling for studying the relationship of dose vs.response and of dose rate vs.response. Results The HPRT gene mutation frequency rose with the increase of accumulative dose and the dose rate,Both above relationships could be expressed by linear models. Conclusion BrdU labeling is a fast,simple and relatively sensitive method to detect HPRT gene mutation induced by internal radiation and HPRT gene mutation can be used as a radiobiological dosimeter.
