Abstract:: |
Objective To explore the effect of vascular endothelial growth factor on irradiated primary human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs).Methods HE staining and MTT method were employed to observe the effects of irradiation dose and VEGF on morphology and proliferation of EC.Results The results indicated that there were obvious changes in morphology of irradiated endothelial cells and a small dose (6 Gy) of radiation could enhance but a large dose (12 Gy) inhibit the activity of endothelial proliferation.VEGF was found to be evidently antagonistic against endothelial injury by irradiation of 12 Gy.Conclusion VEGF could be an antagonist to radiation injury with promising future in wound repair. |
