Objective To inverstigate the quantitative relationship between HEL-9402 cell transformation and DNAstrand breaks induced by α-particles. Methods Nick translation assay was used to detect the level of DNAstrand break.Cloning formation efficiencies in soft agar were used to evaluate cell transformation. Results Level of DNA strand break and cloning formation efficiencies in soft agar increased obviously after HEL-9402 cells were irradiated by 0.25-5 Gy of α-particles,and there were statistical relationships between DNA strand breaks and cell transformation of irradiated HEL-9402. Conclusion DNAdamages are closely related to α-particle irradiation-induced carcinogenesis. |
