Abstract:: |
Objective The effects of cells carbonions with different linear energy transfer(LET) on survival fraction,micronucleus frequency and chromosomal aberrations of cultured cells were investigated. Methods The survival fraction was studied by colong-formation assay and the mironucleus frequency and structural aberration of chromosomes were observed and counted. Results ①Survival fraction:The LET order of carbon ions from high to low inducing celluar inactivation was 125,200 and 700 keV/μm.②Micronucleus frequency:Under the same dose,the micronucleus frequency induced by 200 keV/μm carbon ions was higher than that by 700 keV/μm ones.③Chromosomal aberration:Alot of structural aberrations could be observed. Conclusion In this study,the maximum celluar inactivation was obtained when LETof carbon ions was 125 keV/μm,the micronucleus frequency caused by carbon ions of 200 keV/μm was higher than that caused by 700 keV/μm. |
