Abstract::
      Objective To calculate absorbed dose of patients of the medical 60 Co radiation source accident in Henan Province,China. Methods A Monte Carlo stochastic simulation method was developed to calculate irradiation doses of the victims with a mathematical model of adult man of MIRD,and a practical computer program for dose estimation was established. Results Radiation doses of the main organs and tissues were estimated by simulation the circumstances of the accident. Conclusion The results calculated by Monte Carlo method are close to the results of empirical simulating measurement with a phantom.It is illustrated that the radiation doses of various organs calculated by Monte Carlo method are of significance in clinical treatment of the patients and this method is available to estimation of radiation dose for medical emergency in nuclear accident,because this method is convenient and time-saving.
