Abstract:: |
Objective To examine the effects of rare earth complexes with Schiff base on DNA double strand breaks and repair induced by radiation. Methods Using pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) to detect the DNA dsb induced by different dose irradiation,the integrated OD (Int OD%) of DNA migrated into the gel were measured by the software OneDScan of Biological Medical Electrophoresis Image Progress Analytic System (BMIPAS). Results LR1 treatment before irradiation could increase DNA dsb formation of SGC-7901 cells, and inhibit the process of DNA damage repair. Conclusion As a rare earth complex with Schiff base,LR1 can increase the radiosensitivity of SGC-7901 cells. For exploiting new radiochemotherapeutic modifiers,further research on these compounds is deserved. |
