Abstract::
      Objective To explore the effect of G3 (rhGM-CSF/rhIL3 F.P) on increasing the numbers of leukocytes and platelets in rhesus monkeys with bone marrow form acute radiation sickness. Methods Twenty normal rhesus monkeys were subjected to 4.0 Gy total body irradiation(TBI) and randomly divided into four groups (5 each).In the experimental groups G3 40 or 20μg/kg/d was subcutaneously(s.c.) injected for 20 days,whereas in the control group.Leucomax(GM-CSF) at 20μg/kg/d was s.c. injected for 20 days. Results The nadir and recovering peak values of WBC,ANC and PLT in the groups with G3 were markedly higher compared with those of the control group.G3 was effective in reducing the periods of low level WBC,ANC and PLT. Conclusion G3 can distinctly increase the numbers of WBC,ANC and PLT,and decrease haemorrhage and infection in myelosuppressed rhesus monkeys.
