Abstract::
      Objective To investigate whether immunological adaptive response could be induced by low dose radiation. Methods The following techniques were employed in this experiment:3H-TdR incorporation for lymphocyte proliferation,a bioassay with CTLL cells for IL-2 activity,flow cytometry (FCM) for subsets and receptor expression of lymphocytes by their immunofluorescence stained with monoclonal antibodies,PI staining and FCM for cell cycle and apoptosis,sandwicHELISA for sIL-2R,fura-2AM loading for [Ca2+]i,and a formula for doubling time of cells in culture. Results Suppressive effects of immune functions by challenge dose could be reduced by low dose pre irradiation. Conclusion Multiple immunological adaptive responses could be induced by low dose radiation.
