Abstract::
      Objective To examine the radiosensitization possibility of wortmannin(WT) on some cell lines. Methods Cells were prepared with WT or DMSO(solvent) for 1h, and irradiated at the indicated dose.At different times after irradiation, the cells were washed to remove the WT and allowed to grow for 7 days, and colonies of more than 50 cells were examined under low power microscope. Results Marked radiosensitizing effect of WT in concentration over 50 μmol/L on LP cells within 6 h after radiation exposure was displayed, the D0 radiosensitization ratio in the dose survival curve being around 2.WT in concentration 50 μmol/L had definite radiosensitizing effect on HeLa and SP/20 cells. Conclusion WT is a noveldiosensitizer.
