Abstract:: |
This paper reviews the studies on the etiology of miner lung cancer at Yunan tin mine for about 30 years. The author presents epidemiological and laboratory evidences to maintain the viewpoint that lung cancer is induced mainly by the exposure to radon with the combined effect of arsenic. Relative contribution of radon and arsenic in the etiology of miner lung cancer is given to decide the protection limit of radon and arsenic needed for combined exposure. That value is also used for getting parameters to calculate the probability of causation in occupational compensation. In view of some technical problems, it is difficult to calculate the risk coefficient of radon induced lung cancer of Yunnan tin miner based on the material available. |
