Abstract::
      Objective To study the expression and significance of Ckit in irradiated bone marrow.Methods LACAmice were irradiated with 60Coγ rays, and sacrificed within 4 weeks after irradiation.By means of light microscopy, electron microscopy and immunohistochemical method of LSAB, the authors studied radiation induced apoptosis of hemopoietic cells and the expression of Ckit.Results Adose of 5.5Gy total body irradiation was a sublethal dose for LACAmouse, and induced decrease of WBCin blood and nucleated cells in bone marrow.The bone marrow was obviously injured and then reconstructed.Ckit protein was strongly positive in cytoplasma of hematopoietic cells 6 hours after radiation, while it was strongly positive at the membrane of hematopoietic cells 10 days after irradiation.Conclusion The hemopoietic cells developed apoptosis within 1 day after irradiation.The expression of Ckit was related to the reconstruction of hematopoiesis, and played an important role in the early hematopoiesis.
