Abstract::
      The changes of carcinoma cell cycle distribution were induced in vitro and in vivo by low dose(0.05Gy) X-ray irradiation. The percentages of the cells in G0/G1 phases tended to increase and that in S phase decreased. The extent of accumulation of cells in G1 phase was dose associated with programmed cell death (PCD) . It is indirectly showed in this study that low dose X-irradiation can impel the malignant cells to proceed to PCD. The result also demonstrated that low dose X - irradiation enhanced efficacy of mitomycin in killing malignant cells.
