Abstract:: |
Changes in hemodynamics after radiation, burn and combined radiationburn injury within eight hours postinjury were studied. The results indicate: (1)Shock of rats in the combined injury group is more severe than that in the burn group.One of the reasons is that the blood volume in the combined injury group is less than that in the burn group.Radiation injury plays an important role in this effect,which enhances the increase in vascular permeability and causes the loss of plasma.(2) Decrease in cardiac output and stroke work and increase in vascular resistance in the combined radiationburn group are more drastic than those in the burn group, which may cause and enhance shock. Replenishing fluid is useful for recovery of hemodynamics.(3) Rb uptake is increased in the radiation group which indicates that compensated increase of myocardial nutritional blood flow may take place before the changes of hemodynamics and shock.Changes of Rb uptake in the combined injury group is different from that in the radiation group and in the burn group.The results also suggest that changes of ion channel activities may occur to a different extent after injury. (4) Verapamil is helpful to the recovery of hemodynamics post injury.It is better to combine verapamil with replenishing fluid. |
