Abstract:: |
Morhpometric differences of transformed human embryo lung (HEL) cells in vitro induced by 60Coγ-rays at different dose rates were studied by image analysis. Relationship between the morphometric parameters of cells and cellular nuclei on the one hand and the dose rate and irradiation dose on the other hand was analyzed quantitatively. The results show that the area, equivalent diameter and shape factor of cell increased with increasing irradiation doses; so did the area,perimeter,eqivalent diameter of cellular nuclei and ratio of nucleus to plasma. A linear square equation (E=a+bD+c D2)can fit satisfactorily to show the the relationship between dose and effect.These morphometric parameters demonstrated close functional dependent relation to dose rate and irradiation dose, except that the equivalent diameter of cells was related to irradiation dose only. Damage effect on large doses groups was more obvious than that on small dose groups. |
