Abstract::
      The types of structural chromosome abnormalities in human spermatozoa and lymphocytes in two cases exposed to 60Co whole-body six or seven years earlier are analyzed,and the repair mechanism of radiation-induced chromosome lesions are discussed.The frequency of breakage-type is two times higher than that of exchange-type in spermatozoa while the frequency of exchange-type is two times higher than that of breakage-type in lymphocytes.The frequency of chromosome-type aberrations is five times higher than that of chromatid-type aberrations in sperm,and nine times in lymphocytes.The stable,semistable and unstable types account for 14%,46% and 40% of structural abnormalities in spermatozoa,respectively and 29%,52%,19%,in lymphocytes respectively.The results indicate that the types of structural chromosome aberrations in human sperm are different from those in lymphocytes.The repair ability of radiation-induced chromosome lesions in the germ cells at different stages of spermatogenesis and lymphocytes is probably different.
