Abstract::
      In the study,10 beagles were used. All the dogs were irradiated with 6.5 Gy of γ-rays from a 60Co source(dose rate,95.6-107.9 R/min) and divided into three groups.All the three dogs in the control group died,having survived 7.5 days on the average after irradiation.In the second group,four dogs were transplanted with allogeneic peripheral blood hemopoietic stem cells(PBHSC) without removing T lymphocytes.The results of sex chromosome tests after irradiation and transplantation showed that the cells were of donor type.All the four dogs died of severe graft-versus-host disease(GVHD) and survived 41.6 days on the average after irradiation.In the third group, three dogs received transplantation of allogeneic PBHSC without T lymphocytes.Two of them died,and the third developed mild GVHD and survived over 4 years.
