| LACA mice were whole-body irradiated with 1 Gy continuous γ-irradiation for 22 hours daily.Animals were divided into groups according to different cumulative doses of 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 Gy, and were sacrificed at different time pertodds after the termination of irradiation when the above doses were reached.Radiosensi-tive organs were studied by determination Of quantnative indices ando microscopic examination of histopathotogicaI sections. Three types of repair of radiation damages were found in radiosensitive organs, I.E.(1)full repair during irradia-tion ifi small intestines, (2)repair only after cessation of irradiation in hemopoietic and lymphoid tissuse, and (3)continuing damage even after cessation of irradiation in testes. |
