| Chromosome aberration analyses have been carried out periodically in lymphocytes 0f 8 men accidentally exposed to γ-radiation in Wuhan in 1972.Ten years after irrdiation microscopic and karyotypic analyses o f their blood samples were performed.The results showed that 20 aberrant ceils were scored in 720 metaphases and a total of 16 cops contained aberrations of stable types.Most of them were abnormal monoccntric chromosomes, the majority of which were translocations and deletions. Futhcrmore, the highest frequencies of aberration were observed in samples from 8 men with highest exposure doses.Neither delay in cell division cycle of lymphocytes nor increase in SCE rate was observed. |
