Abstract:: |
A new chelating agent, S168 (1-aceta-midopropanc 1, 1-diphosphonic acid), is Proved to be more effective than other agents for removing radiostrontium from rats. Intramuscular injection of S168 immediately after intoxication of rats by 85Sr(IV) in Creased the urinary excretion of 85Sr over 50% of the intoxication dose.The effect of S168 was 1.5 times more potent than BADE and BADS at the same dosage level.The urinary excretion of 85Sr could be raised up to 70% with increasing dosage, hut was sharply reduced when the treatment was delayed. The following linear equation shows the relationship between the effectiveness of 85Sr removal and the dose of S168 Y(urine)=4.13+0.078X.The additive action for 85Sr removal was observed by combination of S168 with Zhong-6 decoctum after 85Sr injection。The pharmacologic actions of S168 on different kind of animals (mice, rats and dogs)are also reported. |
