      放射治疗是头颈部恶性肿瘤的主要治疗手段之一,但是其造成的放射性脑损伤会降低患者的生活质量,目前尚无有效的预防手段。近年来涌现了许多新的放疗手段,旨在减小放射相关脑损伤。其中FLASH放疗因能保持对肿瘤组织的抑制作用,同时最大化减小辐射对正常组织的损伤而被广泛关注。本文检索国内外相关文献,对比FLASH照射与常规照射在放射性脑损伤的生物学效应,探索FLASH照射在减轻脑损伤中可能的机制,为实现其临床转化提供理论基础。
英文摘要:
      Radiotherapy represents a primary treatment modality for head and neck malignant tumors. However, the resulting radiation-induced brain injury (RIBI) significantly reduces patients' quality of life (QoL), for which there is a lack of effective preventive measures presently. In recent years, many novel approaches in radiotherapy have emerged, aimed at reducing RIBI. Among these, ultra-high dose rate radiotherapy (FLASH-RT) has attracted widespread attention as it can maintain the inhibitory effect on tumor tissues while also minimizing radiation damage to normal tissues. Based on a review of relevant literature from China or abroad, this study presents a comparison between the biological effects of FLASH and conventional radiotherapy (CONV-RT) on RIBI and explores possible mechanisms by which FLASH irradiation alleviates RIBI. These efforts are expected to provide a theoretical basis for the clinical translation of FLASH-RT.
