This paper descibes:(1) the method of calculating f1(z)for charged particles in the unit density tissues: (2) the method of calculating the f(z) for a point source: (3) the method of applying the Fourier transform theory to the calculation of the compound Poisson process: (4) the method of using fast Fourier transform technique to determine the j(z) and, giving some computed examples based on the code, MICRODOSE1,including alpha particles emitted from 239Pu in the alveolar lung tissues and from radon progeny RaA and RaC’in the human respiratory tract. |
